It's a one-off. The original spec mentions that other utilities written by the same project team may use the same format in the future (as opposed to some other random format for the sake of confusion and randomness). That text will be removed in the updated spec, since people interpreted it as meaning that other tools have to use this format, which isn't the intent. Can we move on now? -Seb
