I'm sponsoring the following open case for Wayne Mesard to change the
binding for PSARC/2005/673 to Patch. The timer expires on 08/29/2007.
This case is a proposal to grant Patch binding to most of PSARC 2005/673
("dis(1) options and libdisasm.so.1").
The EOL of "-l" and "-L" will retain Minor binding.
For all the other changes in PSARC 2005/673:
- changes in [Unstable] output formatting
- the addition of new command line options
- the removal of undocumented "useless" options ("-S" and "-T")
- the creation of /usr/lib/libdisasm.so.1
we propose Patch binding.
Additionally, we would like to change the documentation of "-l" and
"-L". Specifically, we want to remove them from the man page and the
"usage" message. The Solaris 10 man page already says that these
options are obsolete. In other words, we seek Patch release binding to
move them from "Obsolete (documented)" to "Obsolete (undocumented)".
