Sun is inanimate.  Asking it questions won't produce useful results.
I'm not even sure it's on this mailing list.

You need to take your questions up with the _people_ who did that
work, and perhaps propose something better along with a transition
plan that gets us there.

As for this particular case, I can't speak for the other ARC members,
but I know I wasn't aware of your concerns about it at the time it was
reviewed.
