4.1. Details:
Net6 is a library which eases the development of network-based
applications as it provides a TCP protocol abstraction for C++.
It is needed by the upcoming proposal for gobby, since gobby depends on
net6.
Net6 is an open source software and this proposal integrates
version 1.3, the latest stable version.
This software is going to be built with SunStudio.
