What would be wrong with net_if_event_t? Seems in keeping with the rest of the nomenclature. My issue is one of consistency: we already consistently use "interface" for this purpose throughout IP. Using "NIC" just creates confusion, and we'll be stuck with this wart forever once this API is committed. -- meem
