Technical Description 2.1. Project Description Proposal: Integrate "convmv - Filename Encoding Conversion Tool" to next Solaris minor release. Detail: convmv is a perl script which can convert file names from one encoding to another. It works on single file name, directory tree or on a file system. Only converts the file names, not contents. convmv also takes care of symlinks: the encoding on the symlink's target will be converted along with the sym link. convmv is very useful and popular within the GNU/Linux community. It solves problems with migrating files from one filesystem to another. The latest convmv-1.14 version Will be delivered in SUNWconvmv package with /usr/bin/convmv perl script and /usr/share/man/man1/convmv.1 man page. Man page is provided in case directory.
