Doh, I wasn't paying close enough attention.  I was referring the SMF 
property, and hence sd.conf doesn't make much sense.  I don't think the 
sd property (polling behavior) needs to be documented anywhere other 
than perhaps in the .conf file itself -- since we don't think it will be 
necessary except in the face of bugs (hardware or otherwise).
