I've heard claims of Studio outperforming GCC on x86, as well. Has something similar been considered or tested for x86 (give or take that the default might remain with the gcc backend there, given that they're much more nearly competitive - who is in the lead may vary with any update to either)? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
