Yes, but my concern isn't about whether it's UNIX, it's about whether it's reasonable to expect that an application's local IPC mechanism stops working because one wants to control the ability for that application to access the network. Personally, I don't find it reasonable and I supect we're only having this discussion because separating the two cases is more difficult implementation-wise. Of course, I'm not on PSARC and thus my personal opinion is irrelevant. As such, rather than argue this one in circles, I'll defer to those on the ARC to decide whether is a big enough issue to hold up the case. -- meem
