I want to add a follow up to this case. I don't think this concern
warrants a new case, but if someone disagrees, let me know and I'll
start a new one.

Specifically the concern is about the dual function 3Com 3C562. This
device was a 10 Mbps/28.8K dual function modem.

Apparently there are some workarounds in "closed code" for the 3C562 in
the "pcser" module. These workarounds depend on parts of pcelx that I'm
removing, so rather than "move" them into pcser, I'm hoping I can just
remove them. Its my opinion that its likely that nobody is using the
ancient 3C562 device, if only because 28.8K modems are probably too slow
to useful in any common application, and there are so many other readily
available and better alternatives.

However, if anyone feels that the 28.8K functionality of the 3C562 needs
to be retained (note that the 10 Mbps ethernet is already removed by the
rest of this case), please speak up now!

(Ordinary pcmcia 56K modems, or even other types of 28.8K or even slower
modems, are not affected by this update.)
