4.1. Details:
This project is to integrate the driver for Neterion's X3100 10 Gb
Ethernet controller into Solaris. This 10 Gb Ethernet controller is
known for its high performance and I/O virtualization support. This
controller is widely used by Solaris OEM partners.
The Neterion X3100 10 Gb Ethernet driver is a Nemo based driver. It
provides basic Ethernet driver functions in the first phase, which
include chip initialization, frame transmit and receive, multicast
and promiscuous features. I/O virtualization support will be
provided
in next phase.
This driver supports Brussels, Suspend/Resume, and Fast Reboot.
The driver is supported on both x86 and SPARC platforms.
