2.1. Project Description
As part of the ongoing SFW Consolidation right-sizing project, this
Case announces removal of pwgen 2.06 from the SFW Consolidation.
pwgen was introduced in Nevada by PSARC/2008/453, [1]. This Case relies
on PSARC/2008/453 as its Reference ARC Case. All technical
considerations pertaining to pwgen have been addressed by
PSARC/2008/453.
pwgen has never been distributed with Solaris: it was only integrated
and available in Nevada.
This Case seeks Patch release binding.
4. Technical Description
4.1. Details
pwgen shall be available through OpenSolaris /contrib repository, [2]
because it is a more appropriate mechanism for delivering pwgen to
interested consumers.
pwgen 2.06 is already available in the /contrib repository, [3] as
it was brought in as part of the pkgfactory project, [4].
