The case synopsis (EOF lx brand) captures most of what is architecturally relevant about this case. As you can also see from the changeset that was just integrated (http://mail.opensolaris.org/pipermail/onnv-notify/2010-June/012350.html), the lx brand has been removed from the current ON consolidation repository under development. If you need any more details, I'd suggest querying the project team, presumably reachable on [email protected].
