The spec discussed the read-only-ness entirely from the perspective of
what sits on top of zfs, not what sits underneath it. I just wanted a
little more precision on what happens below zfs when you do a read-only
import.
Thanks for clarifying this. Yes, the pool will not do any writes to any
part of the pool. As a matter of fact all devices are opened read-only.
