We do have one older model (x445) chassis with 4 CPUs (with HT they become 8), and still trying to get two or three more chassis for it to make a nice 24- or 32-way system. While we're on this subject, how many people are actually using Solaris on these IBM boxes? How critical it is for Solaris to get support for various Summit chipsets (that's what they're based on) soon? One of the problems with these chipsets is that they use the xAPIC model, which IIRC is incompatible with the traditional APIC model. - Andrei
