We'll look into creating the prom tree later in the boot process to catch
more devices. In the meantime, you can set "Plug-n-play OS" to "no" to
keep the old behavior.

Moving forward, it would be good to update tools to avoid using
prtconf -pv under GRUB based boot. On sparc platforms, we have been
considering copying all prom properties to the kernel so there is
no reason for going down the PROM to get information during normal
operations.
