Where's the ARC case that covers GSD?
It was a project private interface and still is. Which is kind of
obvious from the fact that the only documentation available on it is
some obscure engineer's blog.

That's not quite true. I consulted other serial drivers' code, but
didn't copy any of it, which is easily verifiable.

It would have be a new project, with all the usual process surrounding a
Solaris project, yes. I wasn't implying there is a ready to use
implementation, just pointing out that we might end up with two very
similar implementations.
