Hi All, I have built an application which does fopen, fclose and unlink. When the file is created for the first time using fopen and when it is deleted using unlink it takes 10-15 ms to complete that operation. If I call fclose and then fopen once the file has been created then fopen takes 0 ms.
PS this has been tested on other OSes also and I have seen this behavior only on Solaris and I have tested this on multiple Solaris machines. I am using Forte 6u2 and my machine configuration is : SunOS 5.8 sun4u sparc SUNW, Ultra-80 Is there any upgrade/solution which will reduce the fopen and unlink time? Please help. Thanks in advance.
