I have modified libmtmalloc(3) to be able to allocate blocks from several different pools of shared memory segments (either SYSV or POSIX). The code can be fetched at:
http://zvrba.net/software/libshmtalloc.html If there is enough interest in this, I'll make a more decent package release (Makefile, man page, etc.), for now there are only some comments in the source and modified tests to show the usage.
