Hello Prakash,
The mpt(7d) driver is a driver for a family of Parallel and
Serial Attached SCSI chips.

It is installed by default with Solaris, since about Solaris 8.
If it is not there in your installation of Solaris 10, then I
would expect that your SUNWckr package has been modified in an
unsupported fashion.

You can get more information about the driver by reading the
manpage for mpt.
