Hi Joerg,
For the overprinting and too many line breaks issues, can you provide
the specific pages that have this problem as you find them? We can fix
it if we know which pages have the problem.
I realize that the roff pages are difficult for you to edit, we are
working hard to transition to an XML man page gate on opensolaris.org.
After we complete that work, you can clone a workspace with exact same
sources as we use inside Sun.
Of course, then we will have to work on new tools for processing to
nroff or new command to read XML... I appreciate your patience, help,
and advice on this strategy.
Regards,
Michelle

- too many blank lines
- People like me who took the SCCS sources in order to make them portable
and to enhance them have problems:
- The troff man pages are hard to read but they are the only
available format
- If small changes are made at Sun's side, they result in big
differences to the previous troff versions
I have to edit the man pages I received in order to add new features....
Do you see a solution for this problem?

When we moved from SolBook 2.0 to SolBook 3.5 last fall, we started
creating nested lists programmatically because termlength is no longer
used in the new DTD, and we missed some cleanup.
