Solaris's /bin/ksh can do this too, but by default it is setup to do it 
in response to ESC-ESC. I believe (but don't know how,) it can be 
remapped to other keys.

Also you can get much (if not all,) of the other BASH command line 
editing functionality from /bin/ksh by using 'set -o emacs'.
