Hi all,

I have sent this to opensolaris-help but no response. Hopefully I
can get some help here.

I am trying to experiment the OpenSolaris kernel build. I have
previously built all the kernel 'nightly opensolaris.sh' successfully.
Then I issued 'touch' command to a few C files to see whether the
build system can spot and build changed file.

I did 'nightly -i opensolaris.sh' and it still took a long time to
build the kernel - like 37 mins. It seems to me it shouldn't take that
long for just recompiling a few files and relinking the whole kernel.

Is there anyway I can make the build faster? As in the future, I need
to constantly modify & rebuild the kernel.

Many thanks
Joe
