Hello I just downloaded the last build snv98 SXCE DVD.
But the DVD fails to start. The Kernel loads (I can see the dot line), but when it starts it crashes and the server reboots. I've try to install the same DVD on a simple PC with a Pentium 4 processor, and the kernel starts, and I successfully installed it without problem. Does anyone have an idea ? I tried to raise the verbosity of the messages (I added the following options in GRUB menu ) -v -m verbose -s -kd -B console=ttya,input-device=ttya,output-device=ttya,ttya-mode='115200,8,n,1' Here is the startup log collected through a serial line : module /kernel/genunix: text at [0xfe8bc248, 0xfea71e47] data at 0xfec45500 Loading kmdb... module /kernel/misc/kmdbmod: text at [0xfea71e50, 0xfead7627] data at 0xfec88b38 module /kernel/misc/ctf: text at [0xfead7628, 0xfeade83f] data at 0xfec996b8 Welcome to kmdb kmdb: unable to determine terminal type: assuming `vt100' (B)0Loaded modules: [ unix krtld genunix ] [0]> :c [m SunOS Release 5.11 Version snv_98 32-bit Copyright 1983-2008 Sun Microsystems, Inc.
