First I feel like introducing myself to this community:
I'm 33 years old, and have a background from various jobs in the IT industry.
Mainly I've been a network administrator, and been responsible for security
solutions (FW-1 on Linux and Trend Micro Enterprise Security Suite, also
running on Linux). I've also managed various mail solutions in these settings
(Exchange/Postfix etc). I've used Linux for some years as a desktop OS, but my
current work (programming .Net solutions, using C# / ASP 3.0/3.5) Has been most
comfortable using Windows as a native OS (not as VM) while working in Visual
Studio. Enough about me.

I'm new to Unix, and I've experienced that most of my Linux knowledge does not
apply in many situations. Anyway, here comes the questions:

1. I've switched to working with development in C++, and I use the Intel C++
Professional Compiler Suite + OpenMP 3.0 and Boost (ITB some times), while
trying to settle without using Visual Studio 2008...
Guess my best bet is with NetBeans, but I don't know if NetBeans supports an
Intel ToolChain, or if there are other options that supports this in
OpenSolaris?
Eclipse won't work without a lot of stress, I've tried that. I think maybe
CodeBlocks might do the trick? This is my question number one. Any experince
with this setting?

2. I'm also using Ruby, preferably v.1.9.1 / 1.9.2. How is the
support/stability for various functionality in Solaris and Ruby 1.9.x?

That's it for now. Help is, as always appreciated.

Best regards,
Chris
