You had me scared to death ! I had submitted my build test suite results to the GCC team a while back and ran every test I could think of before releasing those GCC 4.3.3 packages to the world. We have GCC 4.3.4 now of course, and 64-bit ready. I just ran into the server room and fired up a snv_121 test server just to verify that I was not messed up in some way with a dangling symbol or libC problem ( or God forbid -library=stlport4 issue ) that I didn't catch. And I made fresh coffee! > Use one consistently-installed version of g++ yes .. of course. Also setup a build environment without possibility of confusion along with LD_OPTIONS that make sense. > ie, only /usr/sfw, or /opt/csw, or ..., or ... yes of course ... okay.
