That's already true, and not changed by whether you allow more non-Sun-supported
changes into the consolidation.   Solaris is full of bits Sun doesn't fully
support, and there's little way to tell which is which in many cases.

Depends on what you mean by "support". If you have a support contract, you can call a Sun rep on anything in ON. It may be that the bits are stale, and your problem might be deprioritized into oblivion, but at least you can make the call.

Sun engineers are not allowed to "break" things in ON, which means that everything in ON gets at least *some* level of support and maintenance, if only to make sure it still compiles and packages properly.
