Yeah, it's a tough question to even vaguely wrap around, because the "OS" is
a kernel and a bunch of system-specific things, plus a bunch of free things
available elsewhere, which are not system specific.

I guess if I could clarify the question at all, in any way that I think
would be valuable or interesting, it would be:

For presently occurring development, in areas which are specific to
opensolaris, (see, now I've already ruined it because ZFS isn't specific to
opensolaris) ...

How about just specifically the kernel, and ZFS. Because obviously the
kernel is system specific, while ZFS is highly integral but usable outside.
But I think this would be fairly representative of the balance between
funded contribution coming from oracle versus other-funded or un-funded
contributions by outside communities.

So the clarification, I guess, would be:

In the kernel and/or ZFS, present development efforts, what proportion is
oracle-funded versus other-funded or un-funded community contributions?
With the goal being a vague and relative (possibly irrelevant) estimate of
how much the development of opensolaris depends on oracle funding.
