I can't speak for Oracle.  *But*, here's what I *think* you can assume
based on some of the information that is publicly available:

a) some ZFS features may only be available in earlier timeframes from
Oracle via their fishworks (7000) series product line.

b) there will be no more opensolaris releases

c) the time frames that have been "conjectured" for any supported
Solaris 11 product are 11/11/11 or later.  (I personally think it would
be nigh impossible to whip the current code base into a supported
product earlier than that.)

d) no word on what features such a product might or might not have,
beyond what is already in OpenSolaris.

e) Oracle doesn't like to give even that much information to anyone
outside of NDA, and maybe not even with NDA.

Upshot is, I doubt you'll have an answer for bp_rewrite on anything from
Oracle except 7000 series (possibly) before 11/11/11, and even that is
not certain.

Its entirely possible that another source for bp_rewrite type tech may
make itself known before then.
