I would think a simple solution to that would be that when vt's are
enabled, to add the ability to have the system automatically timeout
and reset idle vt's after X amount of time...

Better yet find a way to have idle vt's after so many minutes require
re-authentication without "losing" wherever they're at. Yes, I know
this isn't such a simple thing on the console, especially with all the
different possibilities as to what might be currently running. Would
have to find some way to save the current screen state and restore it
upon successful authentication, which is certainly a difficult
exercise in the least I would surmise.

*rubs hands together in glee* So many fun ideas to try out now that
OpenSolaris is here...
