Do you mean that the vVidia driver is part of the kernel? Or must it be loaded
as a module?
The nVidia driver, like all drivers on Solaris, is a loadable kernel
module. What programs link against is the libGL nVidia also provides,
which uses their proprietary interfaces to call into their kernel
modules to get at the 3D acceleration hardware.
