Sunil, the thing is that the community is not involved in the Solaris operating environment branded by Sun, but only with OpenSolaris and its derivative distributions. This is difficult to get used to. We should not be trying to change Solaris and think that Sun has been lying about their open-source intentions when requests get rejected. Your complaint would probably be more suited for Sun's Solaris support department.
