Its not only wishful it is absolutely needed.  

I for one am looking at a whole new build system for Blastwave and I
already a very nice candidate from Cory Omand ( who if you don't know
is a great guy and really smart too! ) which will allow for the
possibility of a complete nightly build of the entire software
repository.

What I need to do is create a subversion source repository elsewhere
to draw from and to allow changes to.  I was thinking somewhere like
genunix also.

I am upgrading Blastwave now and busy working on each server one by
one but the new quarterly release ( 1080+ packages ) as well as the
COMAND build system needs testing.  So I am very busy on these things.
