Well yes, of course. (Are you really directing these statements at me?)

OK, now I'm pretty sure that you're directing these statements at
others and not me, because I'm sure you know that I already know this.

In case this helps, there is a GNU/Solaris mailing-list initiated by
Sun engineers:

No doubt that the GNU coreutils are becoming almost a defacto standard
among the broader UNIX/Linux user community. So I'd say that the
near-term emergence a GNU/Solaris distro is a certainty. It'll be
popular for reasons of personal preference not compatibility.

I am (FWIW) really happy that you are sticking to a strict philosophy
of compatibility with Solaris. In fact I'll even go out on a limb and
say that compatibility will be such a key differentiator for SchilliX
that it will be the most successful overall non-Sun distro.
