So this is the completely rad thing - it *is* up to you, and it's up to
everyone else who wants to contribute to the project. There's no single
entity calling the shots anymore [1].
Initially I think we just need to get the sources out there, and then
sort out the bits that we do and don't want to keep - I'd personally
like the delta between JDS and Vanilla GNOME to be as small as humanly
possible too, as it makes long term maintenance of the sources a hell of
a lot easier. I have a nice long patch analysis that I can post once we
get stuff out, as a starter for 10.

[1] Okay, so there's probably stuff that we can't release for some
reason eg. the configuration manager, APOC - I can't speak for
them though
