Does the Sun Fire 6800 support suspend to disk of single domains or

Strictly speaking "CPR" (checkpoint-resume) is only supported on workstation
class systems. But if you *know* your 6800 is suitable for the operations
(likely meaning that it has no real server-class applications, remember
that TCP will close connections on the client side once the endpoint goes
unresponsive to traffic for a while) then it can be configured for CPR.

That said, CPR will work on a per-domain process. CPR works by writing
a state file /.CPR in the root filesystem and modifying boot-file
in the OBP to nominate cprboot which will restore the saved state and
the old boot-file. It used to be the case that if logging was enabled
in the root disk that CPR did not work - not sure if that is still the
case.

Cheers
