This grew because the community wanted these lists -- many times
insisting on them. Most can't be consolidated because they are too
specialized, and I think that's fine because I think the number will grow.
I think we just need to decide how we handle discuss. Do we make it a
general list and actively move (moderate) technical discussions out and
onto to the other lists? Or do we just need to weed irrelevant
conversations (and who decides what's relevant)?
Yes, I think we should make discuss a general list and actively move the discussions to the appropriate lists. All of the the conversations on discuss that I have seen are relevant to OpenSolaris, so there is no need for weeding, just redirecting.
