That's cool Jan. I do see value in it, even though memory is so cheap these 
days, as you point out in your conclusion.

The value seems on devices that just do not have the resources, many much 
smaller than a PC. How useful and what can be done is yet to be figured out I 
'spose, but knowing that it can be done is the first step.

It wasn't long ago that embedded devices had as little as 16mb of memory, with 
8mb of storage. Nowdays it seems that 128mb of memory and similar or more 
storage are plentiful in similar sized devices. A lot has changed in the past 
5 years in this area, which is good for Solaris as it's not the smallest, 
leanest, meanest...<wink>
