I think it is similar for Solaris with old boot. i.e, dd the first
sector of Solaris boot partition or Solaris fdisk partition and use XP
boot to load it. However, I don't have a machine on hand to verify it.

This was a typo. It's very easy to boot from XP to Linux, but I don't know
whether it is possible to boot from XP to Solaris.
