At the university we have dedicated servers with the one and only
purpose to run VMware and deliver WinNT/2000/XP/Solarisx86/FreeBSD
guests OSes to our SPARC machines. However these are connected via
remote X11. Maybe an option for me. An own x86 box is currently beyond
my capabilities (noodles!).

We have some spare licenses. But the person who knows the stuff is in hospital.
