Just to let you know, I am overseeing the production of the next CCD and any thoughts or questions you have can be sent to me.   If you post to this discussion group, please CC email to my [EMAIL PROTECTED] address.  I find things get lost in the blizzard of mail on these discussion lists.

The goal is to get the current CCD built with the current versions of software done fairly soon - no dates yet.  But, I am keeping  track of all the latest versions of what is there and plan to do as many updates for some future release as possible.  I would be very happy to get suggestions on priorities for updates - especially those with security issues.   I will put those into my work queue at a higher level.  Anyone who has done work on the updates already is free to submit patches, configuration flags, etc. or offer other assistance that can be discussed.

Right now the CCD build engines are not ready to release, but it is hoped they will be in the future and will surely be replaced by better methods once those are decided on by the community and tested.  For now, the goal is just to get the CCD itself in a useful form for those users who depend on it.

I don't know too much about Google Bar. I guess I was curious when you stated
that the Companion CD had apps with security holes in it, that you had run
into one of them. If you could give some real examples we could pass that
along to the folks that might be responsible and ask what the plan is for
that. Although the Companion CD was a non-supported offering, so I'm not sure
what type of answer will arise.

What is it specific that has security holes in it?
