Well, if you look at newer OpenSolaris version you will see that
svc.startd
corrupts it's own memory and libumem writes tons of debug messages
to the
console.
That may well be the case, but you said the problem started with
Build 18, if that was the case, I'd be experiencing the problem, no?
I'm not suggesting what you describe isn't happening, but either it
broke in 18 (in which case I don't see it) or 24!
I am currently compiling Build 24 and plan to hack inetd today in
order to
try to fix the problems or at least find a work around.
I'm just building 24 (on the Ultra3 I have on test, no less), I'll
see if I see it there.
