Yes, I was able to, finally. I tried Mr. Walker's suggestion of using failsafe, but in it ifconfig couldn't even see that my Ethernet card existed. So I booted into regular, entered maintenance mode, and scp-ed all my docs onto my webserver. I then reinstalled from nv22, and am now in the process of reconstituting my files and reinstalling some programs (I had a nicely customized Eclipse, so it's really annoying, but you can't get [i]everything[/i] you want). Once I'm done reinstalling, I'm going to BFU to 26.
