Howdy,

Is there anyway to add a few more "--enable-MODULENAME=shared" options to the current Solaris Apache build scripts? I think it would be useful to add PHP, mod_deflate, mod_security and mod_auth_ldap to the build. These are super useful modules, and would be useful for folks who can't afford the Sun One web server (which is a great product BTW). I am more than willing to help with this request, just let me know what I need to do.

I was able to get PHP 5.1.0 compiled into the Sun Apache 2 install with their '--with-apxs2=/usr/apache2/bin/apxs' option to './ configure'. It was easy, but I'm not sure how easy other modules are. I'm guessing it can be done. This was on Nevada b27. Don't know how supported that would be on Solaris 10 GA.

The Sun web server, including everything that goes along with it (Java Enterprise System) are now free. http://www.sun.com/smi/Press/ sunflash/2005-11/sunflash.20051130.1.html
