I assumed he meant the Linux distro of choice among Linux
_desktop-targeted_ distros...
Which is to say, Ubuntu vs. e.g. Mandriva or Mepis.
So I'm just speculating that if Mark Shuttleworth (and therefore, I
think, Canonical Ltd.) had chosen either of those other two, they'd be
leading Ubuntu right now.
