Yes, it is, by design. A new project will be created for each subsequent release. Note that each release is managed by a different team and may have different goals and integration criteria. Thus they are effectively discrete projects. The SFW/CCD community (proposal to follow) will encompass the ongoing large-scale effort around integration of third-party open source software into Solaris via SFW. It will also serve to influence the opening of the Companion DVD to external contributions and its eventual migration to a single generalised distribution mechanism for contributed software that is not a part of the Solaris distribution proper.
