Based on OpenSolaris how compatible will Nexenta OS be in the manner of: 1) Application compliance ?
2) Driver compliance ? 3) General usage ? Bottom line: Would it be fair to say that 3 years of Nexenta experience is the same as having three years of Solaris experience ? Asking this question I am thinking of the similarity of using tools such as: - Dtrace - Networking - BrandZ and zones in general - ZFS - Firewalling/Security - Self healing and managed services - Pacthing Put in another way: If one want to improve general Solaris skills, would it be waste of time to do the improvement and hands-on experiences with the Nexenta OS ?
