SNV_28 on a thinkpad T43, companion DVD S10 U1. The installer goes through the motions but after products are selected and license agreed to it just immediately finishes with "not installed" for all groups selected.
Running in text mode and drilling down into "more information" I see things like: /var/sadm/install/logs/Application-Editors_install.B02081548 does not exist. I imaging the missing log is just a symptom. Last time I ran into this I just installed packages by hand. I google up quite a few similar problems but no solutions. Clues?
