Because that just multiplies our test matrix, and having a switch
that is known to break applications out in the wild would be wrong :-).
Was this something which broke the SPARCv7/v8/v9 ABI or just plain
software bugs ? Do you have any code examples ? Did the breakage affect
system libraries such as libc/librt/libCrun etc. ?
Bugs in our libraries we can just fix. Bugs compiled into ISV
applications are much harder to fix.
I feel a little awkward going into too many details here
since this involves other vendors.
