I've just managed to trash a build33 system by attempting to copy the
/export/home filesystem from another server with rsync.
The rsync process started tho throw up I/O errors and on reboot, the
system can't find files in /etc/devices. Before I reset the system,
most commands (ls, df...) were failing with bus errors.
The system (Gigabyte nForce3, single Seagate 200Gb SATA drive) was built
with separate / and /export/home slices and the rsync destination was on
/export/home.
So I've either got a duff drive, or something very nasty has happened.
Any clues?
